Questions and answers (Q&A)

Will Termidor leave an odor?

No. Termidor is odor-free.

How long will a treatment last?

When applied according to the label as a soil barrier treatment, Termidor will remain effective at deterring concealed entry into a building by subterranean termites for at least five years. In the case of Mastotemes darwiniensis, a minimum period of two years applies. These will be re-evaluated in the future as the trend of excellent results continues.

My home was sprayed with Termidor two weeks ago and they are still active. What is going on?

Assuming the pest control operator has been successful in placing Termidor in the areas where the termites are moving through the soil, the average time taken from treatment to complete elimination of activity is approximately 4 weeks. This is the latest of any of the current termite elimination products.

How fast will Termidor work?

Termidor has consistently shown to provide 100% control of subterranean termites up to six times faster than termite bait/monitoring systems.

Is Termidor environmentally responsible?

Termidor is one of the most thoroughly reviewed termite control products in history. Termidor is registered with the Envirnomental Protection Agency and can only be applied by a pest control professional who has been trained in correct application methods. Termidor is incredibly effective even at low application rates. For an average home treatment, only about 8 ounces of the active ingredient (fipronil) is actually used. Termidor bonds to the soil in which it is applied, so homeowners need not worry about soil movement. In addition, Termidor's active ingredient, fipronil, is used extensively on food crops around the world and as the leading product for flea and tick control on dogs and cats since 1995.
